Songwriting on Tour - by Ricardo Ausin

Ideas tend to turn up when I’m doing something else. A melody comes to me after a show. A line of lyrics appears while I’m travelling. Or I’m sitting alone in a hotel room and suddenly hear the beginning of a song in my head. If I don’t catch it there and then, I might lose it. That’s where Veinote comes in. The biggest advantage for me is how quickly and easily I can record a new song idea as soon as it appears. I don’t have to wait until I’m back in my studio or have a recording setup around me. I can capture the idea while it’s fresh and come back to it later.

The funny thing about songwriting is that I can sit down with every intention of writing and come up with nothing. Then, when I’m on a train, backstage, walking through a new city, or winding down after a long day, something arrives. Veinote helps me hold on to those moments. Life on the road can be chaotic, but at least my song ideas have somewhere to go.
