Veinote is a songwriting app where you write lyrics, record ideas, learn the craft and co-write with other people in one place, and the songs you write stay yours.
We did not meet in a studio. We met through track and field in Sweden, both of us running ultra marathons, the kind of races where your mind gives up long before your legs do. Somewhere between races the conversations changed, and Peter kept describing the same frustrations he saw in himself and in every writer he worked with.
Ideas scattered across voice memos, notebooks and chat threads. Co-writes that fell apart because nobody could find the latest version. Songs that were ninety percent done and never finished. Ali heard those as product problems, and as endurance athletes we both knew that big things get done one step at a time, with the right support around you. So we decided to build it.
Veinote began with a broader music idea from Ali. As we talked it through it kept narrowing to the same thing: the songwriting process, and the moment a writer gets stuck. We founded the company in Stockholm in 2026 and built it together, Ali leading product, design and development, Peter shaping it from the songwriter's side: the method, the lessons, the exercises.
We share one rule. The idea is not a machine that writes songs for you. Songwriting is personal, and the choices, mistakes and strange ideas are what give a song its identity. Veinote exists to help you write your songs, finish them, and keep your name on them.
What Veinote does
You write on one canvas where lyrics, voice notes, chords, photographed notebook pages and documents live together, in the order the song needs. Rhymes and synonyms are one click away while you write. Demo Studio records and layers takes without leaving the song.
Around the writing sit lessons and exercises from working songwriters, a community of writers to trade takes and feedback with, and live co-writing on the same canvas wherever the other person is. Before a co-written song is published, everyone credited agrees the ownership split, recorded as a split sheet on the song.
What makes Veinote different
- No AI writing your songs. You create them, you own them, and that is a design requirement, not a slogan.
- Live co-writing on one shared canvas, with a split sheet agreed before a co-written song goes out.
- Rhymes and synonyms in 3 languages, English, Swedish and Norwegian, and the whole app in all three.
- Lessons and exercises built with a platinum-selling songwriter with more than 30 years and over 250 released songs behind him.
- A 3-day free trial, then from $9 a month on the yearly plan.
Plan details checked September 30, 2026. See current pricing.
Who Veinote is for
- Songwriters writing their first songs, with no music degree and no studio.
- Working writers and artists who want lyrics, takes and demos in one place instead of five apps.
- Co-writers in different cities or countries, writing the same song at the same time.
- Anyone with twenty unfinished ideas on their phone who wants to finish one.
